The weather was bright but a little bit breezy on Saturday, which was good news indeed for Keyingham resident Sandra Blackman as she welcomed visitors to her Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party.
Mrs Blackman, along with a loyal band of helpers, has held the event for more than 13 years and last Saturday’s event added £720, bringing the total raised to almost £6,500 for the charity.
With refreshments, home-made baking, a raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac and plant sale, there was plenty to keep visitors happy.
Sandra was delighted with the response. She said: “I would like to thank everyone for their support over the years, especially those who help with the organising and spend the day serving visitors with refreshments.”
