Passed away peacefully at home with his family on Sunday 20th September 2026, aged 52.
Much loved and missed son, brother and friend to many.
Taken far too soon.
Funeral service to take place at Lelley Fields Crematorium (Oak Hall) on Tuesday 20th October, 1:00pm followed by a private burial.
No dress code. Family flowers only please.
Donations for The Azaylia Foundation and Sunk Island Church / Heritage Centre would be kindly appreciated and may be left at the service.

Giovanni (Varni) BATES
Aged 70 years, passed away peacefully at Castle Hill Hospital, on a quiet Wednesday morning of September 2026.
Reunited with his wife Susan, will be sadly missed by all, leaving behind his mother, brother, cousin, children, grandson, their partners and many friends.
Funeral service Tuesday 13th October, 11.30am at Lelley Fields Crematorium (Oak Hall).
Instead of flowers, donations in memory of Giovanni for Macmillan, MIND and Withernsea RNLI would be kindly appreciated and may be left at the service or online.

Gerard Laden, youngest son of Anne Laden, died peacefully at Castle Hill Hospital on September 15, 2026.
The adored father of Laura and Lydia, the beloved partner of Vania.
Much-loved brother of Ronald, Jaqueline, Miriam, Celeste and Fiona.
The founder of North of England Hyperbaric services and MIMAR Engineering.
Gerard loved Withernsea and it had a special place in his heart – he had and still has many friends in the town.
The funeral service will take place on 12 October, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes and St Peter Chanel, 119 Cottingham Road, HU10 6NT.
Please be seated by 11:00am.
