Free leisure activities at Hub open day

East Riding Leisure Hornsea in the Hornsea Hub will be holding a free open day on Saturday, October 7, with a wide range of free activities.

The day will be a chance to visit the centre, try out activities and learn more about what is on offer, as well as seeing what else is available in the wider community.

The programme for the day has something for all tastes and abilities, and will include free classes and sessions including:

Les Mills Bodycombat, taster swimming lessons, public swimming, aqua fit, soft play, multi-sports, bungee run, Nerf Wars, and a chance to tour the centre.

Some of these activities must be booked in advance, excluding the tours, public swimming, and inflatable pool session.

Those who join at East Riding Leisure Hornsea from October 7-14 can enjoy 50 per cent off the first three months of membership.

The offer applies to any East Riding Leisure core memberships, with a minimum six-month sign-up.

There will also be tours of the Children’s Centre in the Hornsea Hub between 10am and 3pm. East Riding Library in the Hornsea Hub will also be open and staffed from 9.30am until 3pm, and open with Library Now until 5.30pm.

Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure, and tourism, said: “This will be a great opportunity for Hornsea residents to come along and see exactly what East Riding Leisure Hornsea has to offer, and all for free.

“The centre is already very popular and plays a major role in the community, but if you haven’t visited recently, come, and give it a go.”
