Public invited to meeting over plans for new link road

by Ray Duffill

Paull residents are being invited to a public meeting on plans to build a new road connecting the Humber International Enterprise Park and the port of Hull.

Since planning permission was granted for the Humber International Enterprise Park in April 2022, Associated British Ports has been looking through options to create a direct link between each location.

This link would allow for the movement of goods and equipment, including large and abnormal loads, off the public highway including Hedon Road. ABP’s preferred option is for this to be a dedicated off-road vehicle link, which would be for the use of HIEP and port customers only, with controlled access. The proposals would not include a rail link.

In advance of seeking approval, ABP is inviting the public to discuss the plans at a meeting in Paull Village Hall on Wednesday, October 4, between 4pm and 8pm.

The event will allow the public to learn about the plans, and they will be given the opportunity to ask questions.
