Two local charities have received much-needed donations, thanks to the generosity of patrons of a Keyingham pub.
The Blue Bell Inn’s annual fundraising harvest festival auction raised £1,250 each for Dove House Hospice and Dementia UK.
It was a packed house at the auction, with many supporters coming from outside the village and, thanks to the hard work of auctioneers Ralph Ward and Tim Fussey, bidding was brisk and productive.
Bar manager Linda Burkitt said: “It was a great atmosphere, everyone enjoyed themselves and dug deep to help two good causes. Charities have felt the pinch lately so we are all pleased to help them out.”
A raffle raised a further £200 for local charity Ren’s Rescue.
