New home for Hornsea’s fireworks night

Hornsea Carnival’s traditional fireworks night is set to go ahead this year, in its new home of Hall Garth Park.

The event will again play host to live music, food and drinks stalls and general traders.

Organiser Iain Poole said: “It’s going to be a brilliant night, but let’s not forget what the night is about.

“While the event is free, it is also a chance to raise some much-needed funds for Carnival. We know times are tough, so anything you can do to help support it would be greatly appreciated.

“If you don’t have cash, don’t worry – we will have options for contactless payment using QR codes printed on the side of the collection buckets, and the QR code will also be posted online. The beauty of this is you can donate any amount you want to with complete anonymity.”

The event will take place on Friday, November 4, between 6pm and 9pm. The fireworks display will take place between 7.30pm and 8pm.
