Magical theatre production comes to village

One of the UK’s most vibrant and prolific touring theatre companies is bringing a family-friendly show to Skipsea next week.

The Marvellous, Mystical Musical Box, by Kate Bramley, with songs from award-winning singer-songwriter Jez Lowe, will feature magical puppet creatures, songs, tales and jokes for all ages.

The plot follows Niki, who is snowed in at her Nana’s house in the hills on Christmas Eve, and there seems little hope that her parents (and all the presents) will make it through in time.

But then a battered old ballerina box in the attic lights up a secret way to the frosty world of Koliada – the mystical Land of Christmas-Tide. The Bad Apple Theatre show will take place at 2pm at Skipsea Village Hall on Thursday, December 29.

Tickets, priced £10 (£5 for under-16s), are available from Skipsea Shop, by phone on 01262 469714, or online at badappletheatre.co.uk.
