Hornsea District Lions Club celebrated its 56th anniversary with a formal dinner at Hornsea Golf Club on Friday, May 12.
They welcomed district governor Kevin Hunter and his wife Cynthia, and Andrea Kirk and her husband Richard as top-table guests.
Lion president Joan Gales presented Andrea (former Gazette correspondent and current editor of the Hornsea Community News) with the Ken Bell Award, which comes with a cheque for £500.
The award is presented annually to an individual or group that has gone that “extra mile” to help or provide a service for others in our local community.
