The Hedon Flower Festival, which took place across the weekend of July 9-10, raised £1,471 for
good causes, the town council has said.
The proceeds will be applied towards the St Augustine’s Church repair funds and the Hedon Mayor’s charity for this year, Emmaus Hull and East Riding, which works with others to tackle homelessness.
Cllr Di Storr said: “What a great event! The church looked lovely and the open garden owners showed great hospitality. We couldn’t have done it without the support of the local traders, the wonderful ladies that arranged the flowers and all the gardens who all supported it. Thank you!”
