A school governor from Hornsea has been thanked for his service after his recent retirement.
Michael Parry has served as a governor for Hornsea Burton and Skipsea schools for the past four years.
Head teacher Victoria Hart made a presentation to him at a school assembly on the last day of term.
Michael is also a serving member and past president (twice) of Hornsea District Lions Club.
He has volunteered his services to different organisations for 50 years. This has included helping children with their reading at the school.
