Residents and business owners in Hedon are being asked by the town council to decorate their properties in red, white and blue in time for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The last time such a request to decorate homes went out was during the VE Day 75 celebrations and the town responded magnificently – despite the fact this was in 2020 during the lockdown restrictions.
The bunting has already gone up in the town centre and some early birds have already started the rollout of decorations. Residents are reminded to take photographs of their efforts.
Hedon Town Council will be asking them to send one photo to them in a friendly competition to find the best dressed places in the town, and some small prizes will be offered for the winning photos.
