This summer will see the return of the popular Have a Field Days in Hornsea and Withernsea.
Created by East Riding Council’s Destinations and Active Communities Teams, the free events give residents and visitors the opportunity to take part in a day of outdoor fun, adventure, sport and learning.
They will take place from 11am until 3pm at Graingers Field, Hornsea, on Thursday, August 3, and the Memorial and Valley Gardens, Withernsea, on Thursday, August 10.
Families will be able to enjoy the inflatables including free fall and penalty shootout, try out the climbing wall and volleyball, join in with multi-sports and fitness sessions, test out their cycling ability, view creative land art, and get involved with lots more activities provided by local partners.
Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure and tourism, said: “Our previous Have a Field Day events have always proved very popular, and I have no doubt they will be so again in 2023.
“They are a great way to involve the community and help them to celebrate the great outdoors, with fun, activities, and learning, all on their doorstep. Come along and have a great time.”
