Handbell ringers seek new members

by Ray Duffill

Hedon Handbell Ringers are looking for new members.

The group has quite a history with the handbells having been gifted to the St Augustine’s Church tower bell ringers in 1874.

Those same handbells are still in use and were immaculately restored at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in 2015 following the group obtaining National Lottery funding.

A spokeswoman said: “New members don’t have to have any experience. All of us are very slowly developing our skills, but we are a friendly and enthusiastic group.”

If you are interested in joining the group, contact Kerry on 01482 897645 or email [email protected]. She will be happy to answer any questions you may have and give you details of where and when the group meets.
