Hundreds of people enjoyed Preston Family Fun Day at the weekend, organisers have said.
The event in the grounds of the Nag’s Head pub featured a range of stalls and entertainment, as well as various competitions.
On behalf of the Preston Village Community Group, Geoff Catterick said: “The weather was for once very kind to us and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We estimate some 750 people visited the event, raising almost £2,500 for our good causes.
“The main show trophies were won by Lorraine West (Jack Lowe Trophy for best vegetables) and Jo Adams won the Best Handicraft and the Best Exhibit awards.”
Additional trophies for the photography competition were won by Simon Dallimore (Photographer of the Year) and Alex Darcy (Young Photographer of the Year).
Certificates for First in Class were won by Eric Hunn, Judy Bowker, Linda McGowan, Pat Ferguson, Pauline Rouse, Teresa, Jean Simms, Mary Wood, Jane Jeffrey, Sandra Wood and Keith Maddon.
