Withernsea youngster Robbie Farren made his first appearance on the big stage at a JDC On the Oche darts event against a selection of Humberside senior county’s finest players.
Robbie, known as “the Eagle”, was drawn against Tommy Lishman, a well-known and respected player on the pro tour who is remembered for hitting two back-to-back nine-darters in a recent tournament.
Robbie showcased his potential, hitting some big scores and playing well under pressure in front of a packed crowd at the Inglemire Club in Hull.
The future is bright for the 10-year-old, who now turns his attention to future tournaments.
On the Oche JDC Academy manager Tom Percy said: “Robbie is one of the nicest lads going, unbelievably polite and very talented.
“His throw never alters, he does everything at the same pace with unbelievable consistency. It’s a pleasure working with him.”
