ABOUT YOUR GAZETTE
Local people. Independent journalism.
The Gazette has been part of life in Holderness since 1910. Independently owned and run by people who live here, we cover the stories that matter across our towns, villages and coast.
From council decisions and local sport to community celebrations and the issues that deserve a closer look, we bring local knowledge, experience and care to our reporting.

A new chapter in local ownership
Every week
In print and online
In 2024, Sam Hawcroft and Zoë Broom took ownership of the newspaper, building on that history while looking to its future. We remain an independent local business, with a weekly print edition and a growing website bringing readers news, photographs and updates throughout the week.
We live here, work here and care about what happens here.
