Withernsea RNLI volunteers will feature in the latest episode of the documentary series Saving Lives at Sea.
The episode, to be broadcast on BBC Two at 8pm on Tuesday, September, 15, follows the crew responding to reports of a person stranded at the base of a cliff during high tide.
With the incoming sea leaving the casualty unable to make their way back to safety, the Withernsea volunteers were called into action.
Volunteer crew member Caden features alongside several of his colleagues, offering an insight into the rescue and what happens when the crew’s pagers sound.
Now celebrating its 10th year on screen, the BBC’s Saving Lives at Sea uses real rescue footage and interviews with those involved to highlight the teamwork, training and commitment of RNLI volunteers around the UK and Ireland.
A Withernsea RNLI spokesman said: “We’re incredibly proud to see Withernsea, our lifeboat and our volunteers represented in such a long-running and popular series.
