Thursday, April 10, was our regular day to meet up at Hollym Village Hall from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
We had another fantastic speaker – Chris Cook from British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
The organisation started in 1988 with just five people and now has more than 2,000 medics throughout England. They give medical help to seals, whales and other species at sea, including birds when they get into trouble with oil spills.
Our members thought it was interesting and after Chris’s talk he answered questions.
Later, we had tea and coffee – and, of course, cake and scones.
Our raffles were held for the charity of the year, Dove House, as well as our regular WI raffle.
Thank you to everyone who turned up – it was lovely to see so many faces. We also received apologies from members who were on holiday or couldn’t make it because of other commitments.
It was very nice to see new faces.
If you’d like to join us, feel free to come along to Hollym Village Hall on the second Thursday of the month from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
It doesn’t matter how old or young you are – everyone is welcome!
