Organisers of Hornsea’s Last Afternoon of the Proms have said they were disappointed to discover that a series of banners advertising the event have gone missing.
Hornsea Rotary Club president Ray Thompson noticed the signs were missing shortly after putting them in their usual spots in Westgate, Great Hatfield and Hornsea Road.
He said they were baffled as to their disappearance as each one was located within a few miles of each other. It is believed that they were taken deliberately.
In a statement, Humberside Police said: “We received a report of theft of approximately £100 worth of print materials from the areas of Westgate, Great Hatfield and Hornsea Road in Hornsea between 12pm on Friday, August 20, and 12pm on Tuesday, September 3.”
