An exhibition of art by a local group opened this week at the village hall in Welwick. More than 80 works of art produced by members of the small Welwick Art Group are on display, featuring paintings in acrylics, watercolours and oils as well as works in ceramics, showcasing the talents of members.
Paintings are also on sale and tea and cake is available.
The exhibition continues every day from 10am to 4pm until Sunday, July 13. Entry is free.
The art group meets every Monday at the hall from 1pm to 3pm and new members of any level are welcome to join, when expert advice and help is always available.
On Saturday, July 19, the hall will host the Alonators, a six-piece band back by popular request and will feature soul, blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Tickets, priced £8, are available by contacting 07375 348957.
