Three candidates to contest town council election

An election to fill a vacant seat on Hedon Town Council will take place on Thursday, February 20.

Three candidates will contest the seat: Sandra Anne Archer, who describes herself on her nomination form as an Independent; Julie Dervey, “Independent Hedon resident over 40 years”; and Rita Purdue (no description provided).

The polling station will be Hedon Methodist Church, and the ballot will be open between 7am and 10pm.

To cast their vote, voters must have appropriate voter identification. No polling cards will be issued for the election.

Voters can opt to vote by post, but the application must reach the electoral registration officer at East Riding Council by 5pm on Wednesday, February 5.
