The Young Photographer of the Year competition took place at the Preston Show this year – but the winner’s shield was not awarded because there were not enough young competitors taking part.
However, Hedon Viewfinders, the photography competition sponsor, is keen to acknowledge and encourage the participation of under-16s in the event.
Therefore, after careful consideration by show judge Glenn Stallard, Ella Martinson, nine, Leilani David, 12, and 13-year-old Dillan Wadsworth were awarded certificates for their images – My Furry Friend, Paw-some, and Table Shadows respectively.
