The organisers of Withernsea’s Blue Light Weekend have announced the dates for next year’s event.
After the inaugural weekend was held to great success on August 12-13, next year’s Blue Light Weekend will take place on August 10-11, 2024.
The organising committee is appealing for potential sponsors to get in touch. For more information, contact Kristina Richardson on 07395 798328 to discuss the range of sponsorship packages and options available.
They are also seeking feedback on this year’s event, asking visitors and residents alike for comments on what they felt went well, and perhaps not so well. To submit comments, visit the website at bluelightweekend.com or email [email protected].
Meanwhile, the Gazette’s fundraising total has been confirmed as £911 – including money raised on both days through helicopter/Tiger Moth raffle ticket sales and charity box donations, as well as tickets for the Blue Light Bands gig sold through the Gazette office in the weeks leading up to the event.
The Gazette stall’s Guess the Bear competition has also been revealed – he was named Barney, and the lucky winner was Eve Harman, of Withernsea.
A total of £80 was raised which will be split between Withernsea RNLI and Hornsea Inshore Rescue.
