A retired Paull milkman has been honoured for his services to the village.
Paull Parish Council made the presentation to Paul Marling at the Humber Tavern on Tuesday.
Graham Shaw, chairman of Paull Parish Council, said: “Paul served the village for 44 years and retired last Christmas. He rarely missed a day even getting through the snow drifts when the bus couldn’t. He needed to be pulled through the snow drifts by the local farmer’s tractor on occasion.
“But people remember him most for how he looked out for his elderly customers – making sure neighbours were aware if he hadn’t seen them and generally making sure they were OK. Despite seeming to run throughout his entire round he always had time for a chat – and was always smiling.”
The parish council presented a painting as a memento of his time in the village.
