Man arrested after stabbing in Hornsea town centre

A man has been arrested after another man was stabbed during an altercation in Hornsea town centre on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to Newbegin at around 8.10pm on Sunday, July 13, following reports of a disturbance between two men. A 29-year-old man was found with a stab wound and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are described as serious but not thought to be life-threatening.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody while inquiries continue.

Humberside Police are appealing for anyone with information, particularly dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, to contact them on 101 quoting crime reference 25*97233.
