The Withernsea Inshore Lifeboat station has received a generous donation from one of its main supporters.
The Tower Littlewood Lodge of the RAOB, based at the Pier Hotel in the town, was pleased to present a cheque for £600 to be used for the benefit of the crew of Withernsea Lifeboat to help with clothing and equipment in their valuable lifesaving work.
The cheque was presented at the Buffs’ weekly meeting last Sunday to deputy launch authority Steve Medcalf who thanked them on behalf of the RNLI.
He said: “During the Covid pandemic fundraising has been very difficult.
“As a charity we rely very much on donations from organisations and the public and we are so grateful to the RAOB for its continued support of our lifesaving activities.”
