A joint funeral service will be held next month for Sarah Keeling and her daughter Grace, following the tragedy on Withernsea’s seafront at the beginning of this year.
At the request of the family, details of the service have now been shared to allow those who wish to pay their respects to do so.
The service will take place on Friday, February 6, at 1.15pm at Mansfield and District Crematorium, in Derby Road, Mansfield.
The family has asked that anyone attending wears bright colours in celebration of their lives. Details of the cortege route will be announced in due course for those who wish to line the route and pay their respects as the cortege proceeds to the service.
Those who would like to light a candle or leave a message of condolence are invited to do so via an online memorial page.
The family has also asked that their privacy is respected at what they described as an extremely difficult time.
The funeral arrangements follow the recovery of a body from the beach to the south of Withernsea last week, with police saying they believe it to be that of 15-year-old Grace. Formal identification procedures are ongoing.
Grace was swept into the sea at the Pier Towers in Withernsea on Friday, January 2. Her mother, Sarah, 45, died after entering the water in an attempt to help her.
The deaths of Sarah and Grace, alongside 67-year-old Withernsea man Mark Ratcliffe, who also died trying to rescue them, have deeply affected the local community and prompted an outpouring of tributes from across the region and beyond.
