Residents of South East Holderness are being urged to attend a series of drop-in sessions in Withernsea to help shape future regeneration plans for the area.
The first Pride in Place drop-in took place on Tuesday, March 31, and more sessions have now been arranged for anyone who missed it or still wants to share their views.
Members of the Pride in Place team will be at Withernsea Centre, Library and Customer Services from 9.30am to 12pm on Friday, April 17, Monday, April 20, and Thursday, April 23.
The sessions will give residents the chance to speak directly to the team about suggestions for Withernsea, Patrington and the wider South East Holderness area.
The Withernsea East and Patrington scheme is one of two East Riding projects selected for the Government’s Pride in Place programme, which was announced in September 2025.
Up to £19.6 million has been earmarked for the region to support long-term regeneration shaped by local communities.
The other area, which will receive the same amount of funding, is Bridlington West.
Jayne Nendick, the former chief executive of the Shores Centre in Withernsea, has been appointed interim chairman for the Withernsea East and Patrington initiative.
Residents can also take part online by visiting withernseaandpatrington.commonplace.is, where they can join the conversation and sign up to a newsletter for updates.
Work taking place between now and June includes the recruitment of a chairman and neighbourhood board, setting the rules of the programme, confirming stakeholders and gathering ideas from local people.
That will lead to the creation of a draft regeneration plan setting out how the area could be improved, what it should look like in future and the main steps or projects needed to help bring those changes about.
A final plan is due to be approved and submitted to Government in November.
