Summer fun is on the agenda at Holmpton Village Hall this Saturday, June 27.
The June Jamboree at the School Lane venue will feature a fossil display of locally found specimens, home-made cakes for sale, giant games including Jenga, skittles and bagatelle, a quiz, barbecue, prizes to win and a tombola.
The hall grounds were recently redeveloped thanks to a grant from Do It For East Yorkshire and there is now outside seating and a display of flowers and a planter with vegetables for community use.
The fun will be both indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. There is a display about coastal erosion in the hall along with pictures and items showing the social history of the village.
The event begins at 2pm and will continue to 6pm-7pm. Entry is free and donations are welcome towards village hall running costs. There is a charge for cakes and barbecue food. Organisers urged people to come along and support the event.
