passed away at Hull Royal Infirmary,
on 20th January 2026, aged 88 years.
Wife of the late John, beloved mum of
Ann, Garry, Joe, Noel and the late Kevin,
in-laws/partners Keith, Vanessa, Gail and
Dawn, grandma to Dylan, Hannah, Jade, Ben.
We were blessed to have you as our Mum,
our hearts are broken but we know you’re
now at peace and in the care of
Dad and Kevin x
Funeral service to take place on
Monday 23rd February, 11am at
St Augustine’s Church, Hedon, and a private
interment at Thorngumbald Cemetery.
Family flowers only please but donations if
desired in Sylvia’s memory for
St Augustine’s Church fund and
Dove House Hospice would be kindly
appreciated and may be left at the service.

formerly of Sunk Island
passed away Wednesday 28th January 2026 at
Castle Hill Hospital, aged 91 years.
Dearly loved husband of the late Sheila,
much-loved dad of Michael and Pam,
in-laws Elaine and Colin,
grandad of Adam, Stephanie, Robert, James
and the late Philip, great-grandad of
Olivia, Abigail and Edith.
Funeral service to take place
Monday 23rd February, 2.30pm at
St Patrick’s Church, Patrington, followed by
interment at the cemetery.
No flowers by request. Donations if desired in
memory of Gordon for St Patrick’s
Church Funds and the British Heart
Foundation would be kindly appreciated and
may be left at the service.

support we’ve received following the sad loss
of Stephen Hickingbotham,
a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
The kind messages, cards and flowers have
meant so much to us.
We were truly overwhelmed by the
number of people who attended his funeral
and joined us afterwards to celebrate his life.
