A Withernsea community arts initiative will be running free art workshops and fossil hunts from April to August.
Seaside Arts Space’s first workshop will be held at Withernsea Library on Monday, April 7, 11am to 1pm, when participants of all ages are welcome to pop in and decorate an egg and paint an egg cup holder.
There are limited places so participants are urged to book slots by emailing [email protected] or calling into the Seaside Arts Shop in Queen Street to put their names down.
The workshops are free and are being run following grant funding from East Riding Council’s Do It For East Yorkshire community grant.
The community-run enterprise is planning to run a variety of art and craft workshops over the summer months. Fossil hunts will also be taking place, where participants can learn about the types of fossils that can be found on local beaches, followed by a hunt to find specimens.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
