Coastwatch to mark 30 years with music and afternoon tea

The National Coastwatch in Hornsea will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the National Coastwatch Institution at an event later this month.

On Saturday, August 24, at 2.30pm, Jim Dick, Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, will be receiving the celebration anniversary flag on the NCI’s behalf.

The flag will be delivered by an escort from Mablethorpe NCI to the front of the Floral Hall in Marine Drive, Hornsea.

The celebrations will include free live entertainment performed outside the Floral Hall on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25.

On Monday, August 26, the celebrations will conclude with an afternoon tea at the Floral Hall from 2.20pm. This is a limited-number ticketed event.

Tickets, priced £15, are available from the Hornsea NCI station on Marine Drive. A prize raffle will be drawn at the tea.
