Appeal after cats ‘stolen’ from holiday park

A Withernsea woman has said she believes her two missing cats may have been stolen by holidaymakers.

Courtney Eddison’s two 11-month-old male cats, named Rambo and Nova, have been reported as stolen after they vanished from their home at Withernsea Sands Holiday Park on Friday, September 30.

According to Courtney, the cats were often seen playing with nearby holidaymakers who were smitten by them but were repeatedly told who they belonged to.

Courtney also said she became suspicious after the two cats came home one day with brand-new pink collars, and despite her investigations she was unable to determine where the collars came from.

Courtney’s neighbours said they last saw the cats at about 8.30am/9am on Friday, September 30. The people she suspects have taken them are believed to have checked out of the holiday park at 10am, but their involvement remains unknown.

She has set up a Facebook page called Help me find my cats. Anyone with any information can contact her via the page. Alternatively, contact police, quoting crime number 22000074222 of October 1.
