On Saturday, March 7, 18 villagers from Halsham (including some very enthusiastic youngsters) set out to do some serious litter picking on the roads surrounding the village.
Participants were cheered on by a cyclist who stopped to say how good it was to see someone caring for the environment.
By the end of the morning, a total 30 bags of rubbish and two tyres had been collected.
A special shout-out goes to Mags and Solly for their heroic efforts in clearing up many ripped fly-tipped bags along the verges in Chimney Field Road.
