Holderness Area Rural Transport (HART) is to hold a recruitment event in a bid to find more volunteer minibus drivers.
The session takes place in Bridlington on Friday, November 21, from 10am to 12pm at the South Shore Park and Ride car park.
Visitors will be able to test drive a minibus, speak to current volunteers and learn more about supporting local residents to get to appointments, shopping and social activities.
Jane Evison, chairman of HART, said transport could make a significant difference to daily life. “Transport is so important to us all – it’s the difference between being independent, able to meet friends, or get to appointments. The transport we provide at HART changes people’s lives, but we rely upon our volunteers to help us deliver the service.
“We always need more help, and by making a vehicle available on Friday in Bridlington for people to come and test-drive, and having a team on site to answer any questions, we hope to encourage more people to join our team and help people in our community,” she said.
