An urgent safety review has been demanded after a second car overturned at the same spot near Hull City’s Cottingham training ground in less than three weeks.
The latest incident happened in Mill House Woods Lane on Thursday morning and involved a new Mercedes believed to belong to Hull City midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath.
The vehicle overturned on the narrow lane and a parked blue Mini was also damaged. It is understood that nobody was injured.
It follows a similar incident on Friday, September 11, when Hull City player Sorba Thomas escaped unhurt after his grey Land Rover overturned at the same location.
Hull City confirmed at the time that Thomas had emerged from the vehicle “completely unscathed”.

Cottingham North ward councillor Phil Redshaw has now written to East Riding Council’s traffic management team requesting an urgent investigation into the safety of the road.
He said the two incidents at the same location had raised serious concerns, particularly because the lane is regularly used by pedestrians.
Cllr Redshaw said: “Both incidents occurred at the same location on this narrow lane, raising serious concerns regarding the safety of this section of road, particularly for pedestrians and other road users.
“I therefore request that the Traffic Management Team undertake an urgent safety review of this section of Mill House Woods Lane, seek to identify the likely cause and ask what immediate measures can be implemented to reduce the risk of a further incident.”
He said parents and children had been using the footpath just five minutes before Thursday morning’s incident while making their way to school.
Cllr Redshaw added: “Thankfully, no one was injured in either accident. However, the potential consequences could have been considerably more serious.
“Given that two similar incidents have now occurred at the same location within a relatively short period, I ask that this matter be treated as an urgent road-safety concern.”
He has asked the council what action could be considered and how quickly a review could be completed.
