Hull City’s Sorba Thomas has escaped unharmed after his car overturned near the club’s Cottingham training ground this morning.
His grey Land Rover Defender was pictured on its roof, with broken windows, in Millhouse Woods Lane, a small side street close to the training ground.
Images of the overturned vehicle were posted on social media following the incident, and also showed what appeared to be Tigers boss Sergej Jakirovic at the scene.
In a statement, Hull City said: “Hull City is relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is unharmed following a road traffic accident near to the club’s Cottingham training ground.
“The club is aware of images of Sorba’s car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”
