Appeal for witnesses after biker, 38, dies in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 38-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision near Burton Pidsea.

The single-vehicle crash happened in Fieldend Lane, Elstronwick, shortly after 3pm on Friday, August 28.

A dark-coloured Suzuki motorcycle was travelling towards Burton Pidsea when it left the carriageway and struck a boundary fence.

Emergency services attended but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.

Inquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information, including relevant dashcam footage from the area leading up to the collision, is asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting log 296 of August 28.
