It’s a big year for Bark and Sparkle – Kate, the business owner, will be celebrating 10 wonderful years as a professional dog groomer.
Previously working as an equine lecturer and course manager for 15 years at Bishop Burton College, Kate started dog grooming as a hobby, completing her City and Guilds training alongside her full-time role.
Bark and Sparkle first started as a home grooming service, before eventually moving to the premises in Thorn Road, Hedon, nearly nine years ago.
To mark this special milestone, Bark and Sparkle is hosting a celebratory event on Sunday, December 7, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
A charity raffle to raise funds for the RSPCA Hull and East Riding branch will take place, with lots of prizes to be won, thanks to local companies Next Level Flooring Solutions, Preston Fields Dog Walking Field, Ellie Ann Eyelash and Eyebrow Specialist, among others.
Prizes include dog grooming vouchers, hampers for the dog and treats for the humans too.
There will be an opportunity to take photos of your dog in Bark and Sparkle’s festive photo booth, free festive bakes and pup cups for all dogs in attendance, plus free nibbles and drinks.
Lots of festive gifts will be available, so you can make sure Santa Paws fills your dog’s stocking come Christmas.
Come along for treats, toys and a moment of joy in the festive photo booth while supporting a local animal charity. The raffle draw will take place at the end of the event.
