ON Sunday, March 8, Withernsea Golf Club members contested a Better Ball Stableford event and the winners were Shane Foster and Mike Bramhall, with 41 points. No runner-up was recorded. There were three winners in the Two’s Club; Shane Foster, Martin Thurkettle and Stu Taylor. On Tuesday, March 10, there was a Single Medal and the winner was Brian Napierski with a net 75, edging out runner-up Shane Foster (75). No third place was recorded. On Saturday, March 14 there was a Single Stableford event and the winner was John Dixon with 37 points. Second place went to Brian Napierski (36). The Spin-2-Win winning number for Sunday, March 15 was (22) – Mike and Tim. There are still no Lottery winners. There are 20 lines now wanting one number with an estimated jackpot of £700.

Low Farm Low Down

FOLLOWING instruction from the sport’s governing body, all football in England has been suspended for the foreseeable future. As such, all matches and training sessions are cancelled until further notice. DUE TO the Government’s new recommendations on the coronavirus, the Withernsea Domino League will be suspended until further notice. All points, results etc have been checked from Week 1 and the league table has been updated.

Withernsea AFC Statement

DUE TO the latest statement by the UK Government and now the East Riding FA, concerning the coronavirus outbreak, all Withernsea AFC football is cancelled, training and matches. Grassroots football all across the region is also cancelled until further notice. The club will keep you informed of when things can resume. Keep safe.
