JOB OPPORTUNITY AT HULL & EAST YORKSHIRE CREDIT UNION

We are a member-owned not-for-profit organisation with a mission to improve the financial well-being of our 14,000 members and grow the worldwide credit union movement. Working with the Big Local Partnership, we are embarking on an exciting project to make Withernsea in East Yorkshire a “Credit Union Town” where all residents can access safe, affordable and responsible financial services and young people are supported to gain good money skills from an early age. WITHERNSEA DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Part time - £10,520 per year (actual)

Hours: 20 per week (worked as agreed)

Location: Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire

Fixed Term Contract 3 years (may be extended if successful)

We are looking for a reliable, pro-active and enthusiastic person to develop our branch in Withernsea, working successfully with the Big Local Partnership and other key partners to promote credit union membership, set up school savings clubs and grow a sustainable savings and loans presence. Tasks include administering an office, recruiting and supporting volunteers, making links with local organisations, and getting involved with community events. This position would suit a self-motivated person who has: • held a customer facing role for at least one year; • excellent interpersonal skills; • a flair for organising; • knowledge and/or experience of financial services; and strongly supports the ethics and values of the credit union movement. Due to the nature of the work, a Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS) will be required.

Estimator / Technical Sales Experienced in modular buildings, structural steel, or in general fabrication. Able to communicate at all levels, develop new and existing business partnerships, the right candidate will be able to interpret customer requirements and to offer tailored solutions.

Project Managers He/she should have good knowledge of steel fabrication, be well organised, self-motivated and able to cope with a busy schedule and deadlines. Experience of purchasing and cost control is desirable.

Engineering / Production Manager Experienced in all aspects of steel fabrication & welding, CE marking requirements, production planning, H&S and general day to day operations.

Skilled Welders / Fabricators Candidates should be qualified to min NVQ LVL2 and have the ability to read and understand drawings and weld procedures while also working to high standards.

Paint Sprayers / Shotblasters Experience in all aspects of commercial / industrial coatings and knowledge of Airless spray equipment would be an advantage.

HGV Driver / Material Handler Candidates should possess a current Class 1 HGV licence; FLT/Side-loader experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided. We are offering both a flexible role and hours of work. There will be a requirement to work on site, handling materials and loading vehicles with driving duties as required.
