It is with deepest sadness that Withernsea Football Club write that the club have lost a legend in Frank Windas. The word legend is often overused, but when it comes to describing Frank this word simply isn’t enough; a reliable and friendly man who would do absolutely anything for anyone.

Frank volunteered his services for years to his beloved football club and rarely missed a weekend down at the field watching the lads and his grandchildren. Frank was a huge part of the Seasiders being a player, manager, committee member, volunteer and supporter for over 55 years.

A massive loss to the football club but his memory will live on forever. The club send their thoughts out to Mark, Carron and all of the family.

Frank’s funeral will be held today, Thursday, May 16, at 10.45am at St Matthew’s Church on Hull Road. Rest in Peace legend, Frank Windas xx
